I’m Sarah Hanson. I started my work in education immediately after graduating from the University of Minnesota. I was introduced to this world through Teach For America which brought me to the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota as a 9th grade English teacher and special education teacher. I have been working with West Side Summit since the March before the school opened in 2013, originally as the Operations Manager. The 2018-2019 school year will be my second year as the Executive Director. I’ve had the opportunity to watch many of our perfect children grow over the last five years. It is an honor to serve them. I cannot imagine doing anything else!

Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction
Hello! My name is Rachel Ose Ngendakuriyo, but most people call me Ms. N. I studied English, Education and school leadership at St. Olaf College (UM YA YA!) and Hamline University. I have been teaching and living in the Twin Cities ever since. I’m excited to leverage my experience in support of the awesome students and staff at West Side Summit! When I’m not at school, I’m hanging out with my husband and baby boy–a future WSS Mountain Lion!
Director of Student Culture and Family Engagement
I’m Patti Weyandt, the Director of Student Culture and Family Engagement. I am a native of St. Paul. I studied child development at Saint Paul College and have worked nearly 20 years in the education field. I live here on the West Side with my husband and enjoy spending a lot of time with my large family. I am a published songwriter, musician, and performing artist and enjoy painting whimsical scenes in oil in my home studio in my down time. I love supporting the community here at West Side Summit. I have always been energized and challenged and inspired when working alongside children. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
