I’m Sarah Hanson. I started work in education immediately after graduating from the University of Minnesota. I was introduced to this world through Teach For America which brought me to the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota as a 9th grade english teacher and special education teacher. I have been working with West Side Summit since the March before the school opened in 2013. I’ve had the opportunity to watch many of our perfect children grow. I knows all of our children have the potential to go on to college and hard work, a strong sense of purpose, and a great team of students and staff is how we will ensure that possibility for each one of our children.

Director of Student Culture and Family Engagement
I’m Patti Weyandt, the Director of Student Culture and Family Engagement. I am a native of St. Paul. I studied child development at Saint Paul College and have worked nearly 20 years in the education field. I live here on the West Side with my husband and enjoy spending a lot of time with my large family. I am a published songwriter, musician, and performing artist and enjoy painting whimsical scenes in oil in my home studio in my down time. I love supporting the community here at West Side Summit. I have always been energized and challenged and inspired when working alongside children. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
